She now teaches Pilates, Yoga, fitness classes and individual sessions at Arcata Core Pilates located in Arcata, CA. Tamra has developed a holistic approach to increasing awareness in the body. He is an associate professor emeritus in the Department of Psychiatry at Stanford University. He is fascinated by alternative approaches to mental health issues including yoga, meditation and art therapy. He has published over 100 articles.

Chrystal is active in the Humboldt County cannabis community and works diligently to help build a regulated cannabis industry that promotes the highest environmental standards. She believes that California has the unique ability to have a regulated cannabis industry that supports the economy of rural communities while protecting its natural resources. It is this vision that has inspired her most recently to join the board of the International Cannabis Farmers Association. The ICFA is a group of stakeholders and scientists committed to traditional sun grown farming practices.

Steph Calderon is a beekeeper, cannabis consultant, and poetess. Stephanie started Highly Motivated Consulting in 2015 and since has worked with an array of recreational cannabis companies in Oregon and California. Having a background in seed to sale, farm to dispensary, her approach to business development integrates the observed collaborative work flow of honey bees. She keeps several hives on a couple of licensed cannabis farms and has launched a new project to inspire and educate the new generation of honey bee stewards. Cannabis and honey have played an integral role in personal and community healing in Stephanie's journey.

Q&A Humboldt Series: Episode 23: Kelly Bruce

In 2010 Kelly Bruce was raising her daughter alone living in the beautiful mountains of Breckenridge Colorado teaching children to ski for Vail Resorts. On NYE she was hit by a drunk driver and suffered injuries to her lower back and neck. These injuries would ultimately end her skiing profession, sending her on the path of pharmaceutical pain management. After a horrible out of body experience one night on Ambien; she decided there had to be a better way to manage the pain and still be able to have the confidence to be an effective parent. She was not only able to completely manage pain to the point of not even needing Advil, but she was able to come off of other medications for medical conditions such as ADD and Major Depressive Disorder. She was amazed at how versatile the plant was in alleviating ailments. She became quite outspoken about the benefits; advocating for the various ways to use it. In 2012 someone reported her medical use to Child Protective Services. Kelly openly and willingly admitted she was a medical patient and using cannabis to treat medical conditions. She believed her choice with the direction and care of her doctors were better than using the prescription drugs.
The state disagreed with her choice to consume a schedule 1 illicit drug, even while under her legal right with the state, and Kelly was founded of her charges. She fought. Hard; appealing the court's ruling. After a 2 year probation, all charges were dropped. This experience is what sparked a fire inside Kelly that has grown into CannaMommy.org

Danielle is currently transitioning into living out of a van with her boyfriend, and has been working on projects produced by Paramount Pictures, CBS, NBC, HBO, and more.  Her next public appearance will be at the LA Convention Center's Summer Fashion Show on July 20th, and she's in the works of putting her music out and on tour as well. Through her efforts of gaining influential power, it is Ms. Merri's hope to inspire others to live generously, act kindly, and to lose all fear of being anything less than free.
